A Year In Review Inspiration Challenge

Altenew Beautiful Day stamp watercolored using distress inks

Playing along with Altenew's "A year in review" challenge. I picked Amy's inspiration board (June 2016). I have always loved it and wanted to try it.
Here is my take on it.

Altenew Beautiful Day stamp watercolored using distress inks

Beautiful Day stamp set is watercoloured using distress inks. The stripes on the base are also watercoloured. I fussy cut the flower and added it on a foam tape.
I added a few diamante to the flowers on the vine for a little bling.
Hope you like it!
hugs,
Erum

I made two cards for this event. Here is my first card:

Altenew Peony Bouquet pencil colored for Advent Calendar with Taheerah Atchia

For both my cards I used Altenew's Peony Bouquet stamp set.
Here I used masking to create a floral border. I coloured the flowers using white Faber Castell classic pencil and a white gel pen.
The word "merry" is cut using Silhouette and I glittered the alphas to add the christmasy touch.

And my next card is a shaker card!

Altenew Peony Bouquet watercolored using distress inks for Advent Calendar Extravaganza with Taheerah Atchia

This one looks a lot like the one I made last year for Advent Calendar Extravaganza but I really wanted to make a typical red and gold Christmas card this time too and followed the inspiration graphic by Altenew. Here I have watercoloured the flowers using distress inks and added black paint splatters to the background.

You must leave a comment on Taheerah’s blog as well as mine in order to be eligible to win!

Don’t forget to grab the other surprise destinations from Taheerah’s blog and head over to them to leave comments there as well to improve your odds even more!

Ruby's Bridal Shower Blog Hop

Hello everyone!
If you just happen to stop by my  blog, know that today we are celebrating our friend Ruby's bridal shower papercrafter style!! YAY!!
Amy has been planning this for some time now and I hope Ruby you are enjoying the hop (along with everyone else).

Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set, watercolored using distress inks

Here is what I made for Ruby using the inspiration photo below:

Altenew Beautiful Day stamp set, watercolored using distress inks

I have used Altenew's Beautiful Day stamp set, I know Ruby loves Altenew! That is how we met on Instagram, via the Altenew hashtag! She made these incredible watercolored cards, I can never forget them!
I wish you lots of luck and good wishes for your future and hope you find your perfect mattress :p
Love you!
For my card I have used distress inks to watercolor the flowers and leaves which are gold heat embossed. Fussy cut them out, layered the pieces on top of some more stamping.
Everything is gold heat embossed (except for the sentiment) if you cant tell.

Whats a hop without some prizes eh?
Winners will be selected from the comments across all of the blogs in the hop!  Commenting will close on Saturday, October 22 at 11:59 pm pacific.  Winners will be posted on Amy's blog on Sunday, October 23rd.

Our lovely sponsors:

Mama Elephant $25 Gift Card
Winnie & Walter $30 Gift Card
Kennedy Grace Creations $20 Gift Card

Next stop on the hop is the totally amazing Taheera Atchia

Here is the hop list:

Papericious - Add Some Fabric

The roses are handmade. The paper, sequins and jute twine by Papericious. Stamp by Altenew

Hello everyone!
Today is my first post for Papericious! This month's challenge is to use Fabric in your creation.
Here is what I made.

The roses are handmade. The paper, sequins and jute twine by Papericious. Stamp by Altenew

The paper, sequins and jute twine that I have used on my card are from The Wedding kit.
The two main, big roses are handmade from scratch.

I have used quite a lot of fabric, both in form of twine, thread and net. Also added a lot of texture using gesso, texture paste and glitter.
Sentiment is by Altenew.
Dies by Memory Box, Cheery Lynn Designs and Provocraft.

I hope you like it. Join us at Papericious blog to see what Ujjwal has cooked up.

Celebrate!

Altenew Inspiration Challenge, using Hennah Elements and Label Love. Colored using Faber Castell Classic pencils.

Hey everyone!
When I saw the inspiration palette for this month's Altenew challenge I was a bit hesitant.
These colours, together, are a bit out of my comfort zone.
This card is my second try. The first try was a total failure.

Altenew Inspiration Challenge, using Hennah Elements and Label Love. Colored using Faber Castell Classic pencils.

I hope you like this, I made this for a friend. I tried to keep it simple and have a lot of white space to balance the vibrant colours, but of course I HAD to add paint splatters. Added a lot of dimension to the flowers, looks like this one will have to mailed out in a box!
I have used Hennah Elements plus Label Love.
Coloured the stamp using Faber Castell classic pencils. Added a bit of glossy accent on the flower centers, a few enamel dots and sequins to add the bling factor.

Thats it from my side!
Stop by my Instagram, I post quite regularly there!
love and hugs,
Erum

Rustic

Sentiment by Altenew, Dies by Spellbinder and Cheery Lynn Designs, Stencil by Tim Holtz

Helllloo!!
I saw this gorgeous moodboard over at Artful Crafting and thought I'd play along.
The colours are SO not up my alley. I would've just used a couple of shades provided (preferably the greys and blue) and created a monochromatic card. BUT I wanted to challenge myself and stuck to the colours shown.

Sentiment by Altenew, Dies by Spellbinder and Cheery Lynn Designs,Stencil by Tim Holtz

The big rose is handmade. The other three roses I dyed using distress inks.
The moodboard photo is so rustic and grungy, I wanted my card to have the same look
Applied tons of gesso and texture paste, also used Tim Holtz layering stencil to add design.
I also added a lot of stamping on the background but you cant really see that in photos because of the splatters.
Sentiment by Altenew, dies by Spellbinder and Cheery Lynn Designs.
Tons of sparkle on this card, closeup below.

Added a couple of sequins and I was done.
I hope you like it. I was very apprehensive, I didn't want to add the rusty lattice, I was itching to add a white one instead but I stopped myself. I think it doesn't look too bad, it actually works, separates the floral arrangement from the background!

Up!

It's been a while! Thought I'd play along this week's Retro Sketch.
Coloured this image a while back using Faber Castell classic pencils.
I am loving the happy feel of this shaker card!
Hope you guys are well.
Thats it from my side.
xx
