Lia Stampz: Anything Goes

Hello everyone!
I hope you guys had a fabulous Christmas! I have severe flu and throat infection which is making doing anything at all very hard for me. I am hoping the antibiotics will kick in soon.
I have brought to you a brand new challenge, your fav –> Anything Goes at Lia Stampz!

I have used “Penguin New Year” by Lia Stampz. You can find him at the Etsy shop HERE. Coloured him using Faber Castell classic colour pencils. The background is super glittery and it looks so cool in person! I hope you can see the shimmer in the first photo.
That’s it from my side. Please stop by the Lia Stampz blog to check out challenge details.

Lia Stampz: Anything Goes

IMG_6972
Hey everyone!
I am here today with a new challenge over at Lia Stampz this fortnight. Our theme is ANYTHING GOES!
I chose to watercolour the scene with “Candy” sitting on a brick wall. You can find her at the Lia Stampz Etsy shop. I did pencil coloured a few parts since I have an inkjet printer and I have to be VERY careful when watercolouring digis.
I hope you like it! Please stop by Lia Stampz challenge blog and have a look at what other crafters created.

Sentimental Sundays: Bling it Up.

Hey everyone! How are you all doing? I have a one layer CAS card for you today! Sentimental Sundays is challenging you this week to bling it up! Though I failed miserable since the balloons I water colored don't show how sparkly they are but yeah I couldve added a couple of sequins or gems.
The sponsor this week is Ppinky Dolls and they have the most adorable stamps! And I got to use my W&W!! I LOVE these! I thought I’d enter this card in WCMD pinspiration with Vanessa and Virginia’s CAS challenge, here’s my inspiration photo.

Case Study and Getting to know ME blog hop.

Hey beautiful people! Tejal tagged me a few days back in her “Getting to know me” hop so now it’s my turn to answer a few questions. You should really drop by her place to leave a bit of love. BUT first I wanted to share a card I made for CASE Study.
I loved LOVED Joni’s card and already CASED it in my last post, but I was SO SO SO very much inspired I thought I’d make another one.

IMG_6446
Joni’s card:
Every time I learn something, I try to step it up a notch from what I have learned. I went for a more artistic abstract feel to my card because I just love grunge and the water dripping taking away the details from flowers, stems and leaves. I didn’t have distress markers so I used my good ol paint brush and inks to create this freehand painting.
Hope you liked it! My CASE Study post ends here! On to the “Get to know me”

------------------------------------------------------------
Get to know me!
1 2 3 here we go!
What am I currently working on?
I am working on a photo album at the moment and it is one of those designs that I make almost every other month… actually it’s perfect for weddings here. I will show you the first one I ever made.
_MG_4396
_MG_4399
There is a photo space in the center with names of bride and groom on the bottom right. This is a 8x10 inch piece.
Why do I write/create what I do?
I love love love to create. Every single day I learn something new. The best part is that now I get paid to do what I love! And believe me there is no “awesomer” job than doing what you love. Papercrafts is my livelihood now. I have my books set, both accounts and for orders… I get a monthly pay which is 25% of what I earn all month, this helps me save up and buy yummy craft supplies Smile
How do I become inspired or stay inspired?
My inspiration lasts a very long time… recently I took Watercolor for cardmakers class and believe me it just woke something up in me! I have been watercolouring every card of mine; be it sky, ground or the whole scene! I have gone a bit crazy over it. So I’d say that watching videos, reading up instructions, reading positive things people  write really gets me going. If I see someone teach a lesson, I will always be like okay so about if I add this to it or how about if I do it this way you know? I like to experiment with what I learn so that I can grow. Am I making sense? You will notice that the cards I created for the watercolor class are a bit different from what was taught.

IMG_6118IMG_6119
IMG_6122IMG_6149
How does my work differ from the others of its genre?
I don’t think that it does. I do have my own style but like I said earlier that I love to experiment, so my work is sometimes CAS, sometimes grungy, sometimes absolutely shabby chic and if you don’t know me you cant even say that one person made the same things. Here are a few examples:
IMG_6103 IMG_6414 IMG_6181 IMG_6095 _MG_5048 DSC05351
How long does it take to create a project?
Depends on the project really. I take around 4-5 days to make Journals and Photo Albums, cards at max takes 2 days.
What are my favorite things I love to create with at the moment?
Distress inks. Always.
 What is my signature style?
Already answered this one Smile
If you liked this and would LOVE to share some insight into that brain of yours PLEASE go ahead and join in the hop! Answer these questions and let me know that you have done so so that I can stop by your blog!!
LONG post man! PHEW!!
tata! Have a super fab day!!!

Sentimental Sundays: Your Favorite Hair Color Combination

IMG_6421

Hellllooo!!!

I am here today with a new card. The challenge over at Sentimental Sundays is to “use your favorite hair color combination”. I love colouring hair green but I didn’t have the perfect green with me so I chose the next best colour – turquoise! Last year I got my hair dip dyed in electric blue! It looked awesome while it lasted, which sadly was just till I took the first shower! I think I will have to buy hair dyes (the bright, bold colours) from US too! HAH!

IMG_6414

The East Wind has such beautiful images and they are SO MUCH fun to color too! This is Lucy Loo closeup and I have coloured her with Faber Castell classic color pencils.

I don’t know if you can tell or not but I fussy cut the hair out and added it on two different levels. The top portion is raised a bit more than the one draped on her shoulder.

IMG_6419

The pink card base has been heat embossed to add a bit of interest otherwise it was looking very bland. I hope you like it! I had so much fun colouring it!

Lia Stampz–Color Challenge

IMG_6413

Hey everyone!

This fortnight the challenge over at Lia Stampz is a fun one, a colour challenge! Here is your color palette;

Here is what I came up with:

IMG_6407

I used the “Boy Hug” image by Lia Stampz and coloured it using Classic Faber Castell color pencils. The watercoloured the background and made wee clouds! The sentiment is handwritten.

Hope you like it!
